Is Marsten done for the season?

I was hoping he would start to get some playing time. Juri did some nice things today, but he is not going to be able to play that many post minutes in Big 12 games. Between Marsden, Juri, C. Johnson and Grey there are enough post guys to sort of play in the middle for a whole game.

Today was Jiri's day. Cory also played well early. Gray was quiet, but had a few good moments.

As for Marsden, Coach says he's doing extra running to get back in shape and hopes to be on the court again soon.

Yeah well, ya know, that's just, like uh, your opinion, man.

Didn't Marsden have Mono? That's a tough one to get over.

Re: Is Marsten done for the season?

Marsden has played some limited minutes the past game or 2 prior to yesterday I thought. He may not pad the box score with numbers but he doesn't make a lot of mistakes and plays defense fairly well. We'll need him ready to go against the big boys in the Big 12. Jiri and CJ will probably have some foul problems every now in then that depth will be necessary.

That's my personal fav right there. The man has been starting since day one and people can't get his easy name right.

As for Ross, I suspect he will be in decent health to help us in conference play. He didn't look terrible vs Ohio State and that was a couple weeks ago. No reason for him to have played yesterday with Jiri playing great. Probably not many minutes for Marsden anyway with Johnson & Johnson, Jiri, and Gray all ahead of him IMO.

Marsden is healthy again but don't look for him to play many minutes.

why not? I still think he has the best understanding of post defense of the on the team. Marsden has not shown much a lot of offense to this point, but until Yuri went wild against NDS, no big guy had done much.
