    Another whining Hawkeye

Iowa's Mark Perry on his first loss to Travis Paulson from the Rag's article:
Perry was unimpressed after having an admittedly bad match.

"He dictated the pace, if that's what you want to call it," Perry said. "I didn't wrestle well, so congratulations to him and their team for doing well here. It don't matter, it will never happen when it counts."
Typical hawk "class". I hope the team does it again to them at nationals.

as much as i hate to say it, i honestly don't have that many bad feelings toward the pukeyes in the sport of wrestling. growing up in iowa and being a wrestler, i am proud to say that this state has always had and will always have 2 of the best wrestling programs in the nation.

    Re: Another whining Hawkeye

That makes me sick. Any person should have better sense than to say that to the Rag, cause the Rag will undoubtedly print it. I already have zero respect for Mark Perry due to the countless times he has requested a time out from a ref for absolutely nothing. This just helps me hate him more.

That is fine, but you do not have to except @sshole comments like his... You might like wrestling, but you do not have to like @ssholes.

    Re: Another whining Hawkeye

Did you notice the way Brands and Gable coached during the dual meet with the Cyclones? To say that they were incredibly jacked up to beat ISU is an understatement. They were boarderline hysterical. Anyway, I'm guessing Perry feels like he humiliated his coaches by losing to Paulson and that's way he made that classless remark. I just laughed when I read his quote because I know it will only stoke the fire inside Paulson and the Cyclones. It's just another pathetic case of denial by a Hawkeye.

    Re: Another whining Hawkeye

Brands stated after the ISU match something along the lines of; "Currently they (ISU) are the 'it' program, that's where we want to be." So they definitly wanted a piece of ISU. After the way Gable acted during that match, I can't wait for the next time around. On top of that he's a turncoat.

    Re: Another whining Hawkeye

Cannot justify the "Gable is a turncoat" comment. Gable was not going to be offered a job of substance at ISU. Iowa came calling. Calling a coach a turncoat for having success as an athlete at one school and further his success as a coach at another school, is in many cases natural progression towards opportunities. ISU made a quick change to Sanderson, to not be embarassed again.

I think Gable and Brands are psychotic. I really think they both have mental problems. I think if they were not good wrestlers and coaches they would be in prison for killing someone. I am not even joking either.

    Re: Another whining Hawkeye

The fun will be when ISU wins the National Title in Cael's first year.

That should shut a few hawks up.

What will be interesting is if/when the Virginia Tech wrestlers transfer over for next year. I am not sure if that is happening or not.. but they are good and would add depth and toughness to the UofI program. But, to be honest, I am not worried.. for in Cael I Trust.

    - keep.
