    WBB polls 1/26

ISU re-enters the AP top 25 at #22. We were #20 two weeks ago and dropped out entirely last week (after KSU/Baylor losses).

Oklahoma State dropped out, so the Big 12 has 6 teams in the top 25. OU is #2 and Baylor is #4. Those two meet in two days.

Additionally, CollegeRPI.com also has ISU in the Top 25 RPI at #23.

    Coaches' Poll comes out tomorrow.

Oddly enough, we went up 5 spots in AP (27 to 22) but dropped one spot in ESPN/USA Today (22 to 23). I won't complain about it because:
    1. FSU leapfrogged us in the coaches' poll after they had a very good week, and
    2. ISU only dropped two spots last week after losing two games, and
    2. It doesn't matter

We're probably in the right place. A win over KSU will move us up and likely keep us in the rankings for the rest of the season, and position us for a shot at a 4/5 seed, absent an upset along the way. I'm encouraged by Vandy and Minn. but, concerned about the slide of OSU. They gave us all we could handle in Ames.

Weve got a pretty good football conference, and weve got a pretty good conference overall. Were still walking around with our heads held high and our chest out, about that. Paul Rhoads
