    So did Brandon have a favorite school growing up? "I've always liked Iowa State the most," said Scherff. "One of my friends took me to a game when I was young and I just started liking them ever since."


    We need to hear more of this from the top players in the state. Hopefully more kids are growing up with options of teams other than the Hawkeyes.
