So, .......... Craig Brackins gets 42 in a 15 point loss,

does anyone think that a performance like this will detract from his prospects as a professional? What if he had played for Kansas today, and scored only, say, 24? Would a 24 point performance for KU have gained him any more credibility?
I do not think or feel that a basketball talent like Harrison B., or anyone else of that caliber, must play on a UNC or KU team to be appreciated or noticed. Do you?
If anything, todays game showed that basketball is a team endeavor. We get within six, twice, with two good looks at the basket, and of course the swing is eight points down.

Re: So, .......... Craig Brackins gets 42 in a 15 point loss,

I think you are right. A great player will get recognition regardless of school as long as that school plays on a national stage (D-1 & decent conference).

I have a feeling ESPN will talk more about Brackins then any KU player or maybe even the whole KU team. NBA scouts also don't draft teams... they draft individual players.

If Brackins had gone to KU, he wouldn't have played much at all last year. This year would have been like his freshmen year last year. He wouldn't be the player he is today nor getting the same opportunities to showcase his talents. The bad... he has no shot at making the NCAA tournament this year.

Brackins is going pro... whether it's this year or next. I think this year guarantees money sooner (safer) while playing one more year at ISU increases his draft status (more money) and maybe provides him the chance to play in the NCAA tourney, give back to ISU, and further improve his game before embarking on his professional career. Either way he'll be more than OK. Just comes down to what he wants and the risk he's willing to take.

So did I, especially since he seemed to be the only guy on our team with ANY interest in rebounding the ball.
