    Diante?

I was thinking long and hard about what DG is good at and I am drawing a complete blank... He leads our team in TO's horrible shooter, isn't a good defender, and on top of it all he cant dribble the ball!

Someone convince me that he is better than what I am watchin right now against Kansas!

He's good at dishing.... He really needs to develop the shot, the defense, and the dribble. I hope we can get a real point guard to come in.

Horrible game. Awful shooter. Why can't we recruit shooters?

Colvin will start next year. DG is 10 lbs from being 20 pounds.

    Re: Diante?

Diante is the best guard we have. Lucca can shoot but I haven't seen him take more than 3 dribbles with the ball all year

    Re: Diante?

Our shooting guards are not athletic enough to get open, and DG can rarely make a layup if he is fortunate enough to get there.

We are on par athletically with Colorado and South Dakota State. Our only good athletic player is Craig.

    Re: Diante?

I'll will be disappointed if Colvin doesn't start from day 1 (as in I'll be amazed if he can't win the job vs. Garrett). Unless, of course, Garrett improves his ball handling and finishing during the off-season.

I've been saying that all year. I would also add that he's a ballhog and cocky.

    Man, I couldn't disagree more.

Can't say "(DG) is fortunate enough to get there (being a layup)" because he gets close to the basket A LOT with his dribble penetration; his problem comes that he throws a "tear drop" that is low and floating and it just gets rejected. How many of DG's shots from the paint get blocked in a game? I would say about 75%.

2nd point: On par with SDSU? Ok, you already said excluding brackins so he is out. You saying Garrett isn't athletic? How about Hamilton (has to be considered athletic going from a skater punk to a starter in the Big 12 in 3.5 years)? Buckley isn't athletic? How about Lucca?

I know what you mean that we aren't as athletic as Kansas because, let's face it, Peterson, Haluska, Thompson, and Vanderbeeken (sp?) don't exactly ooze athleticism but come on, SDSU more atheltic overall than us? Doubt it.

Yep, this thread has just been pwned.

As someone stated earlier, he is 5th in the Big 12 in assists and has only shoots, what, like 5 FG a game? There are a lot of things I could call DG but a ballhog is NOT one of them...
