    KF at my school

Kirk Ferentz was at my school the other day. He was there to talk to Brandon Scherff. Our 6'5'' 270 TE/DE (former QB). He is a junior, graduates with the class of 2010. I sure hope PR is looking at him too.

'ole Denison Schleswig.... 2000 football season Cherokee went down to Denison for the first round of the playoffs... I trotted onto that field with high hopes... I walked off wondering how I got my *** handed to me.

Looks like we are on the guy:

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?

And then we lost to harlan, of course, for the rights to go to the dome.

So did he get a scholarship offer? Do you think he'd go to Iowa if given the offer?

    Re: KF at my school

He was there talking to the coach, not the player. The recruit in question is only a junior, thus not permissable at this time. But yes, Kirk was there and talking to staff.

    Re: KF at my school

Anyone else findi it strange that a coach would be spending time on an 2010 recruit 2 weeks before the 2009 singing day?

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

No. The Hawks probably only have a handful of slots left to fill for this year, the assistants are doubtless all over the country--and Junior Day was a week or two ago. Time to get in the spadework now.

    Doubtless CPR's uh...third priority.
