    ISU WBB @ Nebraska

8pm Saturday. Game is televised on Fox Sports Net.

I'll go ahead and start this thread so we have something else to talk about.

Nebraska had a good win at home Wednesday against Kansas (67-58). They desperately needed that win to avoid starting the conference season 0-4. They have seven losses this season but five of them are in the RPI top 40. One of those two other losses was a one-point loss last week @ Missouri.

We won four straight @ Nebraska from 00-03, but we haven't won there since (five straight losses). This is a good chance to break that skid.

(EDIT: in our last three games @ Nebraska, we haven't even broken 50 points. Here's hoping the offense shows up tomorrow.)

This will be a nice win, we need all the Road wins we can get.

It would be nice to see a lot of Gold in Lincoln.

Alas, I get to watch it tape dalayed (FSN North shows it at 10pm)

Hopefully, my radio station plays it live; otherwise, follow some live stats somehow and follow here also.

    Re: ISU WBB @ Nebraska

CSN-Chicago has it live, fortunately. :)

Going seriously off-topic for a second...

I have a motorized 1-meter-diameter Ku-band dish on my roof that I use to get unencrypted backhauls (completely legal -- I'm not watching encrypted TV like Dish or DirecTV). It's amazing how many free games are up there. I used it to watch three ISU FB games I couldn't otherwise get (UNLV, A&M, KSU), and it's fun watching them without commercials or studio interruptions. I was able to actually watch an entire marching band halftime show. :) Most of the pro sports stuff is C-band (big dish) and much of it is encrypted anyway, but there's a lot of college stuff on Ku-band unencrypted.

Early in the ISU-KSU FB game during a commercial break -- this was when ISU was playing extremely well against the Wildcats -- the color guy (a KSU broadcaster) said, no kidding "How the mighty have fallen. I mean, this is Iowa State!" I just about fell off the couch laughing.

Anyway, I was able to watch ISU-OSU WBB live using the dish. It was tape-delayed several hours on CSN.

I think we need to pick up the one, just to get the conference road win monkey off our back. If we don't break it now, I fear it will become a problem.

They lost Kelsey Griffin at post - a huge loss for them. They do have size with 6-3 Redmon and 6-4 Bober, but, they don't have the same skill level. We should win the inside game. We lead in almost every statistical category - our largest concern will be the fiesty defense of guards Turner and Kelley and the chance that one will get a hot shooting hand. If we value the ball and play hard - we'll win. Say yes!

Well Cyfanatics yet again I'm making the road trip to Lincoln tonight, and I'm taking my Gold Cyclone Alley shirt (from 2005). Nebraska can have as many people at the game as they want. It still doesn't make up for the fact that they have NO POST GAME!! Assuming ours come to play we should get it done.
