    Best Chili Recipes

"Cyclone Chili" The yellow ribbon winner of the (1996) Nebraska State Fair

    1lb-ground turkey
1lb-graziano italian sausage (found at Hy-Vee)
1 can of Mrs. Grimes (spicy chili beans)
1 can of Mrs. Grimes (mexican chopped tomatos)
1 can of Libby's brand tomato juice (46 oz/found in juice isle)
    1pkg of Hot chili seasoning
    1 fresh Habenero pepper
2 tsps of grounded cayanne pepper
    1/2 cup of jalapenos
    1 cup pickle juice
    2 tsps of olive oil

Directions: Marinate the ground turkey overnight in (Hot) Pace Pacante Sauce and 1cup of pickle juice mix well. Brown turkey meat with minced habenero pepper and olive oil then set aside. Brown the italian sausage and sprinkle grounded cayanne pepper. Then mix both meats together inside a crock pot, and put all canned items in with the meat including jalapenos. Cook on low heat, sturring occasionally for two hours, then sprinkle hot chili seasoning, and simmer for another 30 mins.

Enjoy in a bowl with teaspoon of sour cream.....

That's what the sour cream is for... Dairy products absorb the spice, the flavor will remain...

A little burn with the chili isn' always a bad thing (except for those around you).

If the cheeks aren't clappin', the chili lacked punch!

Yes, I'm sure that tsp of sour cream will magically extinguish the 4-alarm fire that is sure to come from eating this chili.

My wife is from Guyana in South America. If I really wanted to kill someone with spice, I could always add a teaspoon crushed "guyana bird pepper"... This pepper is from the same pepper family that is used in big daddy's hot barbeque sauce over on the east side of Des Moines. The same sauce that caused a guy to almost die...

This isn't an important question and I'm not questioning the validity of this chili, but what exactly is a yellow ribbon?
