    North Dakota State no gimmie...

Not sure if anyone has looked at our Saturday opponent NDSU? These guys are no joke. Their four losses are all on the road to Texas Tech (85-81), K-State (83-81), Minnesota (53-49), and Colorado State (82-80) a combined 12 points

The have a road win against Marquette 64-60 and a home win against Prinston 57-50.

(EDIT: I stand corrected K-State was at NDSU and Prinston was a road win....)

They have a 6'8" forward named Andre Smith whos a pretty good scorer and rebounder.

Hopefully, the Clones will have their game faces on for this one and not look past them to the conference season!

Re: North Dakota State no gimmie...

there are no gimmies left on the schedule for ISU. Most of us should understand that by now. With the physical play that has become a standard in D-1 BB, the Clones are going to be pushed around by everyone. The only way this team can win games from here out is: play hustle defense on every possession, limit TOs, and shoot well. Most of the big guys for other teams have had career highs against ISU this year, and that isn't going to change.

Go to the games and cheer for the guys in cardinal and gold playing as hard as they can, and enjoy the moments of good play and the few wins.

Re: North Dakota State no gimmie...

NDSU lost to Minnesota on the road. We won over Minnesota on the road.

I say we are even on that.

Now NDSU beat Marquette on the road, I can't imagine us doing that, so we are screwed.

But hang on, coach McD already lost to his former team UNI this season. I just don't think he will lose to yet another one of his former teams.

Look at our records, our losses came to very good teams this year, except for Iowa which it was their turn to win anyway.

We are no cupcake team, we will beat NDSU - the problem is I wouldn't be able to watch the game. I will be in Chicago for new years celebration but I will watch the replays on mediacom. Go cyclones!

If the cyclones can repeat the mistake free first halves of Ohio State or SE Missouri State game every single game this season, I will be surprised if they do not make it to NCAA this year. Big 12 is not that great this year. If I only look at how they played the first halves of the last two games, I rank ISU in the top 5 in big 12. They will do good, I am hopeful.

If we lose, I will be sorely disappointed in the players. Time for Jiri to shine. Now or never. Time for Marsden to make his presence felt after 2 years. No Gray areas for Devan. Take it to them. Time to fix that 31 dec clock.

NDSU also went into Wisconsin last year and beat them pretty handly. They are a good team and were definately ready to make the jump from Division II to Division I.

It's going to be tough against NDSU, they have played some quality teams very well. This is a good opener to the Big XII season, maybe we can put two good halves together.

Re: North Dakota State no gimmie...

I'm still perplexed, why must you insist on calling Jessan Gray "Devan" Wesley? It's bizarre.

Also, Gray has a badly broken nose and Marsden is still recovering from mono, so I'm not looking for much out of them until about mid-january when they could be totally recovered.

Re: North Dakota State no gimmie...

This is a huge game for the Bison, it's on statewide TV in North Dakota. If we win we are a longshot for the NIT. If we lose no chance for that. Third Big 12 game of the year, had a chance in the end at Tech, were up 10 in the second half against KState. We're hoping to get over the hump.

Here's to a good game with no injuries!

Westriverbison, what tempo of game does your team play? And welcome to CF, anyone that is willing to discuss the game without trolling will be fine here.

We are a little short of depth so we try to play a half court game. But we scored in the 80's several times this year as we normally shoot pretty well.

Re: North Dakota State no gimmie...

Devan is my nickname for Jessan until he scores 15 points or gets 10 rebounds. He should be able to play as hard as Jiri did today. Jiri was actually on the floor scrambling for the ball at least five timers. That is called buying into the system. Maybe Alex Thompson is helping out the three bigs in PRACTICE. Jiri is first out of the chute. "Devan" Jessan might be next. Then along comes Ross. We might look okay inside by mid Feb. Impressed that both bigs were put on floor at same time against the shorter Bison. Sort of made the close in Bison shots look like wounded ducks.
