    College basketball fans

I'm just curious to how many of you enjoy watching basketball games other than the ISU ones. I know some are pressed for time and don't get to see many.

How many games do you actually sit down and watch per week?

    Re: College basketball fans

Not many. Maybe 4-5 games a week, including ISU games. I've soured on college basketball as I get older. It used to be my favorite sport to watch, college or pro. Now I'm a college football junkie. Watch games 10am-about midnight every Saturday.

I get into hoops season once conference season starts, though. I rarely watch in Novemver & December unless it's the Clones.

I gotta tell you my interest in college basketball has seriously fallen off in the past several years. There were times when I was growing up when I was all about it. I loved watching UNLV and Duke play in the early 90's, and often taped all of the NCAA Tourney games. Even in 2004-05 season, I watched almost the entire tournament, and several games throughout the season (mostly Big XII).

What it comes down to for me is that I love college basketball when we're good. And I'm pretty indifferent when we are barely competitive. I will now typically watch the Big Monday game, and ISU games, and that's about it. On a day like today, I had no interest in seeing any more basketball after our bloodbath...

I love watching college basketball. I usually won't go out of my way to watch a game though unless its an ISU game, Big 12 game, or big matchup. Otherwise, I'll just watch it if nothing else is on.

I watch as many as I can. I love ACC/Big East/Pac 10 games. Big 10 games are the most boring. I've found sitting down and watching the games has helped my success come March madness time.

I'll watch anything I can, but I agree that Big 10 games are brutally boring.

Still, it never helps my success in March madness, since that tournament gets a little crazy. Miss that one upset in the first round, and the team you pencil into the Elite Eight is gone, along with a whole lot of points.

I can relate to that, although I watch alot of Mo Valley basketball these past 5 years or so, not sure why, but I find that conference intriguing.

As I've gotten older, the football season has just become so much more important to me than basketball. College football has become an obsession whereas when I was in high school it was all basketball, college and pro. Even the NFL has waned abit with me, but I still love it. Unfortunately the NBA has killed itself with the prima donnas who play the game, I think it all started with all these young players being allowed in the league.

The more I think now, perhaps I love the PASSION of college sports. These young me actually are playing for something more than $$ and some are playing with the PASSION to make $$ in the professional level, either way it's PASSION and you sense it with college athletics. The NBA, no passion anymore, none whatsoever!! The NFL has alot, but not like college football.

    Re: College basketball fans

I love college basketball. I can pretty much watch any game that is on. There were some awesome games on yesterday. I was so happy when Louisville beat Pittsburgh. I honestly think college basketball is the best college sport. I am a much bigger basketball fan than football.

    Re: College basketball fans

I-State, Creighton, Nebraska, Memphis, Big 12 games only. Too many other options. The heyday of bball has left the station for total viewing. Pr4o and college football totally domoinate the TV scene. BaseBall, soccer, hockey are mor blips. It is all about football in the end. Just look at the ratings.

    Re: College basketball fans

I used to watch way too much NCAA basketball, but anymore ISU is about the only team I watch, and I see all the ISU games.

As I've gotten older there are other things that have moved up the priority ladder in my life, and I just don't have time to spend several hours a week watching college basketball. There is one exception though - the NCAA tournament!

Yesterday i watched the 2 big east games, Syracuse/ND before the ISU game and Pitt/Louisville after. Hate to say it, but they looked like they were playing a different game than ISU/missou.
