Official/Mandatory/Obligatory DC and Other Coaches Thread - 17 Jan 09

Just thought I would get this started since it is Saturday, the day before the awe inspiring Sunday Register comes out.

We had the coaches tour within the last 48 hours through the buildings and yet no major annuncements.

We have had a couple of players meetings with minimal news.

We Mississippied/lost a fair weather, recruiter type coach a couple days ago.

We have heard fewer rumors of who candidates are since these people have obtained other jobs.

We have some recruits coming soon with coach openings.

What is the real role of coach Bliel - what are his additional duties or will he fill in depending on the mix of our final three coaches?

The signing period wraps 4 Feb.

We are looking for three more coaches and a couple of S&Cs.

Is anyone looking at the Ames Xhizslick estate to buy?

Since Pittburgh Steelers play this weekend, will they announce S&C?

We were spoiled when the announcements were coming left nd right unlike the past week.

We had Jimmy Williams fired/not renewed from little Buffalo, land of huge snowfall. Would he go back to nebraska instead?

What will our 14-18 recruits be doing in less than three weeks on signing day?

Will we get a coach from the Gruden staff?

What contest can Cy the mascot in in 2009 to keep his streak alive? A Dance revolution contest? Maybe he can coach.

The two hours between DC threads is now up.

    Discuss/rant/rave/compliment.

And then on the eastern part of the state, there was this:

Oh, and did I mention that the pictures were posted on an IOWA STATE fan web site? Is is a crime for a high profile person to get drunk in public?

Wow. A thread started by you and responded to by you. That is kinda like playing with yourself on line.

That is what gets me. I am sure it was an ISU fan taking the pics also. It was also an ISU fan emailing them to all their friends and starting the email chain of events. After hearing stories the guy has a problem and wont seek help for it, yet it is an ISU's fans fault he got fired.

And it was a Missouri fan's fault that Eustachy got fired. I think that is just kinda the way it works.
