    Re: Tentative Future Schedules Announced

What are the chances we can trade Iowa with Ohio State or Michigan for non conference games?

About the same chances you have of successfully playing a game of pick-up-sticks with your buttcheeks.

That is a very uninspiring lineup for nonconference opponents.

I like the Utah, Tulsa, and Air Force games. While none from a major conference, all our quailty opponents.

    Re: Tentative Future Schedules Announced

Is it that we can't or don't want to schedule a BCS conference opponent not named Iowa?

We don't need to get Ohio State, USC or anyone but why can't we get an Oregon State or Washington or someone comparable? I'm tired of recycling the same teams over and over.

    Re: Tentative Future Schedules Announced

I have no problem with a non-con of Iowa, a traditionally decent to good non-BCS school, and a nobody or two. There's not much incentive for making one much tougher than that unless we're getting a big payday out of it.

Why are we playing Army when they already cancelled a game with us? I really don't want to play No Illinois, nothing to gain if we win and everything to lose if we get beat! The rest of the teams are fine with me.

We aren't worry about SoS in the case of BCS games. That'll only come into play if we're up for a National Title Game, so I'll take as many wins as we can get.

NDSU has a rather good I-AA FB program. You'll notice their only loss this year was a 1 point loss to the Minnesota Gophers.

The NDSU lost to the gophers was a missed field goal as time expired.

With NDSU coming here in basketball is no gimme. Lost to Texas Tech by 4 at Tech, lost to Kansas State by 2 or three at NDSU, beat Marquette at neutral site. I believe McD coached there prior to UNI.

I'd scratch Air Force off the list of "quality" opponents. Fisher DeBerry is retiring as their coach this year and that will likely be a difficult thing for them to recover from. It would still be a nice away game to go to out in the Springs!
