    Cyclones vs Beavers

Cael and the boys will be rolling into Corvallis this weekend to take on the Beavers. I am really looking forward to going to the meet and watching the Clones live. The Beavers are a young team and I expect that ISU will "lay the wood" to the Beavers. My prediction is 40-0 ISU. Any other predictions?

    this meet means nothing

If you have a problem - if no one else can help - and if you can find
them - maybe you can hire: The A-Team.

Both Mueller and Ward could have their hands full. I doubt it is 40-0. They have hung in there in meets against Wisky, Nebby, Michigan, Boise St. and Missouri. We should win easily but there could be a few matches we drop.

    Yes, but are they eager?

    Re: Cyclones vs Beavers

Sounds like Clark, Mueller, Reader, and Zabriskie wrestled sluggish this afternoon. Sorenson took a very tough Bressler to 2OT. Cyler was very impressive on top. The kid that Mueller lost to was on South Africa's Olympic Wrestling team.

I was at the meet today and those guys were sluggish. ISU is obviously a very talented team, but few of our guys seem to press the issue. They seem content to react. Varner is the exception to this in my opinion. On the whole, I didn't think that they looked like National Championship material this afternoon. I really hope that they can peak at Nationals. It was great to get to see them wrestle in person again... It has been almost 8 years since I left Ames.

That's disappointing to hear after Cael publically called them on that after the last tournament.

    Re: Cyclones vs Beavers

Watching Cael on the bench, I wondered if the team isn't simply a reflection of his personality. He is very laid back and didn't get fired up at all. Granted we won all but two matches, but more were closer than they really should have been. I would have liked to see more emotion from all the guys.
