well considering he is a football player I doubt it. Jordan Bernstine, SS from Lincoln. 4th ranked safety in the country

I don't have the slightest clue of what your are trying to say...

One of my friends talked to Bernstine at the mall and he told him he was going to Texas University, not Texas AM or UT, but Texas University.... this was a couple months ago. Good get for the hawks though, not doubt about that.

there was a quote up there about how this was a good get for Alford. Obviously whoever wrote it didn't know what he was talking about so I called him out on it. Than he must have deleted what he posted. But yeah he committed on the news tonight

    Re: Bernstine chooses Iowa

Wonder why none of the elite programs were interested in Jordan if he's really the 4th best safety prospect in the country?

I'd say Notre Dame, Texas A&M, Nebraska and UCLA are big time programs. He took ND off the list early. I was kind of hoping he would surprise everyone and commit to ISU.

    Congrats to the Hawks.

None of the elites are interested in a top 4 safety in the nation, you gotta ask why.

Yes those are some top notch programs...but elite would be Ohio State, Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, LSU, USC

    Re: Bernstine chooses Iowa

I think he got a quick look and some interest from USC from what I read.

If I was the coach at USC, I wouldn't spend a lot of my recruiting time in the state of Iowa. Same goes for Texas, LSU, OK, Florida and Ohio State.

The level of competition in this state makes it hard to truly judge what a player will be like playing against elite competition at every position.

Everyone pretty much knew this was coming. I'm not surprise at all. His mom wanted him to stay close to home.

    Re: Bernstine chooses Iowa

I'd rather see him go out of state or go to ISU. I'm not happy for the Hawks at all. Not getting this type of talent when its in our own state hurts. Within 3 years, this guy is gunna come back to bite us.

Check out the pic of him on the front page of hawkeyereport. It looks like he needs to wear a bro or a mansier or something?

This is all you can expect in a state where the media is ALL IOWA ALL THE TIME!

Until that changes ISU will always struggle recruiting any instatetalent that is worth having.

I hope that Gene Chizik doesnt waste much of his time recruiting the State of Iowa, when there is alot better talent down south that would be willing to give us a chance.
