    10 favorite rap songs

    Can you tell I'm bored?

What are you're 10 favorite rap songs? If you don't like rap, please keep it to yourself.

    #1 Can I get a-Jay Z
    #2 What's Beef-Biggie
    #3 Murder was the case-Snoop
#4 Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos/Rebel without a pause-Public Enemy
    #5 Nuthin but a G thing-Dre
    #6 I Just Wanna Love U (Give It 2 Me)-Jay Z
    #7 Posse in Effect/Root Down-Beastie Boys
    #8 Trill-Clipse
    #9 Gravel Pit-Wu-Tang
#10 Insane in the brain-Cypress Hill

In no order. As you can tell, I'm a little older so my tastes reflect that.

    One of my favs:

    [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U_089EURkNo]YouTube - Lil' Troy - Wanna Be A Baller[/ame]

Used to listen to a little NWA and Eazy E back in the days too. Been so long since I've listened to a lot of rap I can't even remember some of them rightn now.

    Re: 10 favorite rap songs

You said "favorite" and "rap songs" in the same sentence. Almost like saying "favorite Country and Western songs".

Guess I'm just the wrong generation...

This could be a very entertaining thread (get my shareaza fired up) or it could be very short! LOL.

    Re: 10 favorite rap songs

Some of these may not be true rap, more hip-hop, but anyway...

    Country Grammar - Nelly
    I'll Call Before I Come - Outkast
Get Down (Like a Pimp) Remix - David Banner ft. Twista and Busta Rhymes
    Southern Hospitality - Ludacris
    Area Codes - Ludacris
Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-a-Lot
    Right Thurr - Chingy
Let Me Blow Ya Mind - Eve
Where the Party At - Jagged Edge
    Po' Folks - Nappy Roots

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old’s life:
The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves Orcs. ~ John Rogers

    Re: 10 favorite rap songs

Mine should give away my age a bit too and will lean heavily to one group that I still like to listen to today. I just wish they wouldn't have put out their last album or two.

    1. Foe The Love of $ - Bone
    2. The Crossroads - Bone
    3. Look Into My Eyes - Bone
    4. Juicy - B.I.G.
    5. Notorious Thugs - B.I.G./Bone
    6. I Ain't Mad At Cha - Tupac
    7. Your Sister - TQ
    8. Laughing At You - Big Punisher
    9. It's So Hard - Big Punisher
    10. Put It On Me - Ja Rule

These are in no order as well and don't really represent my top 10 but are probably close.

I took care of you, most of these songs just remind me of good times in my life and where I was at the time.

    Re: 10 favorite rap songs

Anything MF DOOM or Madvillain or Viktor Vaughn or DANGERDOOM (all aliases of the same MC but with different producers). 2004's "Madvillainy" album is probably my favorite hip-hop album of all time. Completely different from mainstream rap though... no hooks/choruses, very short songs, obscure samples, etc. His lyrical skills and flow are amazing, though. I'd suggest to check it out, even if you are normally not a big rap fan.

    Re: 10 favorite rap songs

    Run-DMC - It's Tricky
    Run-DMC - Peter Piper
Salt 'n Pepa - Push It
The Knux - Life In A Cage (Electric)
The Knux - Fire (Put It In The Air)
    Plastilina Mosh - Nino Bomba
Anything by the Beasties (although I wouldn't really consider them rap)
The Wild Thing - Tone Loc

Standard suburban white boy 80's stuff, plus a few others I've come across recently. I love The Knux.
