    Chizik's Recruits

It's great to here that the young talent GC brought in is sticking around. He must have been recruiting kids who really believed in the things he preached. It's a shame he didn't have the same values as the players he brought in. I have a feeling that some of my favorite ISU players of all time are going to come out of the couple classes he brought in.

It's not easy to transfer...most are better off staying.

    Re: Chizik's Recruits

Well I am curious as to why one of his new recruits or even a former recruit (Darks, Johnson to name a couple) would want to follow him to Auburn. Not saying that one of his new recruits would or is going to, but there was talk about players following him. I personally wouldnt want a guy like Cheezit for a coach after what he put that team through. Its almost like finding out your girlfriend cheated on you, how could you ever trust that person again.

They can still go to Auburn if they want. They can't be on a football scholarship and would have to pay their own way, at least for the first year, but the Auburn boosters know how to make problems like that go away.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.
