Six-point possession is pivotal in Cyclone win
Iowa State is known for its 3-pointers, but the Cyclones needed a six-point possession to put away No. 21 Oklahoma State in today’s 63-55 women’s basketball victory at Hilton Coliseum.
The game was the Big 12 Conference opener for both teams and both traded punches throughout a clawing, physical contest that saw 11 ties and five lead changes and was played before a boisterous crowd of 8,036.
The Cyclones (13-2, 1-0 Big 12), who trailed by 11 at halftime, surged to the win behind a 13-0 run in the final 3 minutes that turned a 50-48 deficit into a 61-50 lead with 1:11 remaining........
