Question about the KSU game next year

Revkah and I were sitting here talking, and I realized that I have forgotten something, and that spawned more questions that I don't have answers to. So:

    1) How much are tickets to the KSU game next year at Arrowhead?

    2) Someone mentioned that there were other events scheduled that weekend in KC. Does anyone know what hotel availability is looking like?

    3) How long is the drive to KC? (I could solve this my checking Mapquest, but I didn't want to).

    4) What are some good places to eat in KC? Keep in mind that we're non-drinking folks, so we're not looking for a bar.

    Thanks, CF!!!

When in KC, you must eat BBQ. I recommend this place:

Jack Stack Barbecue - Official Site

That looks really good. The Dinner for Two thing is a good selling point here.
    Thanks!

Re: Question about the KSU game next year

I used to go to Blue Springs (eastern suburb) to golf in early spring. Took me about 5 hours, so that should be about 3-1/2 hours from Ames.

We ate at a place called Charlies (or O'Charlies ?) in Blue Springs. Loved the food, really loved the homemade cheesecake - cost $5 a slice, but the slice was literally twice as high and twice as wide as the normal piece you get for $4 anywhere else. Only problem is they rotate desserts, so the next year, they didn't have it the weekend I was there.

Nobody is saying yet. Might want to call ISU ticket office Monday.

    2) Someone mentioned that there were other events scheduled that weekend in KC. Does anyone know what hotel availability is looking like?
Hotels.com has prices anywhere from $70 to over $200. In my road game experience, as long as you book early there shouldn't be a problem. If prices in the city are too high, always remember to check suburbs (Independence, Lee's Summit, even out to Kearney), people have a tendency to forget about those. I'll be staying with a friend, so I'm already set...

    3) How long is the drive to KC? (I could solve this my checking Mapquest, but I didn't want to).
3.5 hours from Ames to Arrowhead.

It's Kansas City. Find a BBQ place.

    Thanks, CF!!!

Jack Stack's is by far my favorite BBQ in KC! Every time I've been in the food has been amazing and the service is always outstanding! It can get kinda pricy depending on what you get but hey the past two times I've gone I've been on band trips so the university has paid for it!

It's sad. I don't think I've ever been in Kansas City. I know I've driven around it.

I think they mentioned the price in a letter to season ticket holders, but I don't tend to keep that stuff.

Its going to be interesting to see how filled the stadium is going to be. Considering its going to be the 2 worse teams in the North next year. I know we will show up in full force but seeing KSU's crowd will be interesting.
