I think you can only have 9 asst coaches, so the DC would also be the LB coach.

    Re: Who's left?

DC could be the special teams coach also just like Dan was at one time.

    Re: Who's left?

One offensive coach, most likely coaching wide receivers, to make five coaches on that side of the ball. Then two defensive coaches to make four of those, one obviously being the coordinator. The other could coach any position group depending on what the DCs specialty is. For special teams as far as I can tell no one on the current staff has experience in this area so it is a decent bet it could come from one of the three remaining hires to cover that as well. My best guess would be the WR coach will handle special teams too.

There's usually nine assistant coaches. So, on offense, they just need a WR coach. On D, there is a DC and then one more assistant. His duties would depend on what position the DC coaches. Could be either DL or LB. I assume either one of those three guys are going to be in charge of special teams, or CPR splits duties up among multiple coaches.

Every other position is outside of the FB staff...they are AD employees. And those positions depend on how much Pollard is willing to invest. Chizik had three strength coaches, three Operations guys and five? GA's. I assume that Rhoads will have fairly similar numbers.

Does that include coordinators or is that beyond DC and OC? It has to beyond DC and OC because Chizik had more coaches then that.

I can't hardly see only three coaches on defense. If you are right, they can hire 4 more assistants.

One will be a S&C coach, one will be a receivers coach, and one will likely be a LB coach. That still leaves one DC and one assistant coach vacancy.

    Re: Who's left?

There can be nine assistants including the coordinators. That does not include the GAs, S & C staff, and operational people. Which means we have three more assistants to hire, most likely one on offense and two on defense, to make a staff of five and four respectively.

    Re: Who's left?

So, we have three assistants left to hire. One DC, one WR coach and one LB coach.

That's what I have been thinking for the last week. I guess I am impatient. Hopefully it is because the hires still had coaching duties to complete.
