    Re: New Commit

Isn't Blinn where Dennis Franchione's son is the head coach? I know they played a weekend or 2 ago in the JUCO National Championship game.

    Re: New Commit

Soon headed for dead zone till 8 Jan. Nebraska added two more yesterday to reach 24 commits. They like to exceed the 25 limit as they have some stragglers that never reach school. Jay Norvell is still looking for a HC job whenever someone will interviews him. Bill Napolean will not let him call the plays.

    Re: New Commit

It was also brought to my attention that there is a RT commit as shown on CN.

    Re: New Commit

Not bad to get inroads at Blinn - fwiw, they won the NJCAA Championship with an undefeated season.

I'd like GC to possibly look at their RB, Bernard Scott - almost 1,900 yards and 1st team JUCO All-American. Appears to be similar in size to Scales, but could have better burst. We can always use depth at RB.

And he may possibly have the ability to move a little bit - 4.85 in the 40. If he can add 10 - 20 lbs of strength on his 6'5" frame, he should get into the two deeps rather quickly.

    Re: New Commit

We desparately need a running back that does not fumble and who can really block.

    Re: New Commit

I would agree, but what is awareness like Is he going to be able to pick up those stunts and double moves. Is it all upper or lower body strength.

He will make a good fight for that RT spot. Even LT.

I assume you are now talking about Doug Dedrick?

    Re: New Commit

Blinn generally is a big time D1 athletics factory in almost all sports. The kids are usually big time D1 athletes who go there to establish their grades. Any inroads there in any sport could pay dividends quickly.
