    Ole Miss v. Texas Tech

Anybody have any thoughts on this game? I think this will really be a fun game to watch, as all Tech games are.....with the bonus that the opposing coach is actually Leach's equal in being a really good game day coach.

An added note: 60 minutes on Sunday nite is supposed to have a piece on Mike Leach....ought to be pretty interesting.

I think Mississippi beats them. I think Tech will come out slow as their offense is based on timing and they haven't played in a while. I think Ole Miss hits them in the mouth time and time again and pulls off the win

Your assessment on Tech is pretty much accurate for every game that they have played. They do have a tendency to start out slow....Leach generally makes really good halftime adjustments, and Tech as a result has been pretty good in the second half of games. Can't wait for this game!

Hopefully Tech wins and makes the Big 12 look as dominant as they are.

    14-14

Texas Tech's timing looks all off...which was my biggest fear for Big XII teams that relied so much on timing in their passing games.

I hope Rhoads has a system like Houston Nutt of Ole Miss- nice, traditional offense that pounds on you.

Something about Houston Nutt and traditional offense doesn't sound right...what is it? Oh yea, everything.

    Wild Hog anyone?

I guess I would call a team that runs out of the I, with an emphasis on rushing the ball as much as passing, a "traditional" offense. Houston Nutt has always wanted to establish the run, and certainly did this year.

I would love to have the lineman to run a traditional offense.

I would prefer a gimmick offense like Tech. How in the world are we going to beat anyone with the talent we get at Iowa State with the same offense everyone else is running.

Re: Ole Miss v. Texas Tech

Its funny when the camera guy shows Leach on the sidelines when Tech's on defense.....he's got that look, like, "I don't know whats going on with our defense, but I wish they'd hurry up and get off the field so we can run some of these plays off my 2x5 index card."
