Did Pollard really pass on Brian Kelly?

I still can't believe we let this guy get away?

Or did he pass on us? Agreed. I would have liked him in Ames as well.

He put us on hold working on the Michigan State job, and kept stalling until we moved on. That guy would have been here and gone. We're better off with Rhoads.

Was Rhoades considered two years ago?

I believe that point is whether we would have been better off had we been able to hire Kelly two years ago as opposed to hiring Chizik.

Well said. We have our new coach, why do we need to continue to dwell on this issue???? Paul will do very well in Ames and should be around for a long time...with help from winning seasons/bowl trips and a few shots at Big 12 championships.

Lets just all get behind Paul and his new/yet to be named staff and give them our full support...and quit pondering about who and why for the head coach.

Depends on how you look at it. I think Ketelmeister is correct saying he would've been gone at the first chance (a la Chizik). I think long term we will be better off with Rhoads.

Man, I hope Rhoads gets it going fast! I am sick of wasting my bowl week(s) discussing this stuff instead of breaking down a ISU bowl game...

It's no fun just to blindly jump on board.

I can see it now......."Come on guys, we have our leader, let's get behind this Jones character and move to Guiana"

This is the question. Kelly was not available when we hired Rhoads. But he was available when we hired Chizik. Now Chizik has skipped town and Kelly has his team playing in a BCS bowl.
