Outback bowl is Hall of Fame Bowl

I had wondered where the Hall of Fame Bowl had gone. This is the same bowl game according to wikipedia, the location was moved in 1986. We were in this bowl game in 1978.

Re: Outback bowl is Hall of Fame Bowl

    Yes and no.

The Hall of Fame Classic was played in Birmingham from 1977-85. It was renamed the All-American Bowl in 1986 (when they took the "Hall of Fame" name to Tampa and changed it from a "Classic" to a "Bowl"), and was active until 1990.

The first game listed on the Outback Bowl site is the 1986 game, so they don't consider the Birmingham games as part of their history.
