    The Gift of Golf

Looking for some help, here. My wife and I would like to buy some friends of ours a round of golf at a decent course as a Christmas present. We live in the Ames area, so we are looking both here and maybe in Des Moines. I am not a golfer at all. Does anyone know
    A) some good courses
    B) how much a round would cost
    C) Would they let us buy a round as a gift?

    Any help would be appreciated.

I think it's a pretty good deal - 35 bucks isn't that much when you start talking about golf. One option at least.

have you ever got caught outside In a strong rainfall? Yes or NO. If it"s yes, then you might half felt the pane of hard(tought) rain on you head. If it hurt"s then it"s tough. Yes or no. Okay I'm right and you know it.

So alothough you attempt"ed to say you didn"t understnad, now you do. Fair enough?

That is a great idea. Not completely free to play, but a great cause and gives you the ability to play lots of courses for usually just cart rental.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Waveland is an OK course for decent price. Hole number 3 is my nemesis.

I'm interested in playing Otter Creek this year after they redid all those holes.

Tournament Club of Iowa is a good one. The senior tour played there, but it was too hilly for the old guys.
