    Question Movie addiction...

Does anyone else have an addiction to buying movies for your collection? In particular series of movies i.e. Star Wars all of them, Spiderman 1,2,3, X-men 1,2,3, Die Hard 1,2,3, LOTR 1,2,3. Every time I go to Wal-mart and go past the $5 movie rack I am drawn in like a fly on honey. It is like a sickness or something...just wondering if I am the only one who has it???

    Re: Movie addiction...

Nope, I've never purchased a movie in my life.

In fact I'm visiting family in Las Vegas as we speak and their world revolves around watching television and viewing movies. Its introduced me to a whole new world.

    Re: Movie addiction...

I haven't counted, but I'm guessing I have around 150-200 DVD's. It's a combination of full price movies I want and the $5 bin at Walmart. Most of my movies are from the bargain bin though, there are a few that I haven't even watched yet. I've also started buying a few BluRays, but only action movies. I don't see much need to buy comedies on BluRay, since the player plays them all anyways.

I also have about 10 movies on my DVR that I haven't watched yet, from HBO, Starz, etc.

    LOTR and SW.

Been playng LOTR demo on PS3 due to come out 15 Jan. Pretty much whole game is free for now for online. Maybe some CFers could get one going on one of the EA servers. The Hawks could be the bad guys and the Clones could be the good guys. They have a Balrog, Trolls, hobbits, wizards, etc.

    Re: Movie addiction...

I only buy the classic collections (Get Smart, MacGyver and NCIS) but we have an addiction to going to movies. I can't stand watching a movie more than once or twice, thus never buy, but instead more than make it up by over-going to movies on opening weekend.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

I never bought DVD's, only rare exceptions for certain releases like Shawshank, Scarface etc. But I do find myself buying blu-rays now.

    Re: Movie addiction...

I wont buy movies unless i know will watch them a lot. Otherwise why buy them when theyll just sit there and get watched once every couple years? Or the technology will leave the collection worthless in 10 or so years.
