    Marley and Me

If you have ever owned a dog you will absolutely love this movie. My goodness, this movie tugs at the heartstrings.

Be prepared to lose the man card during this movie.

    Re: Marley and Me

What are movies coming to when people thought that Marley and Me was a great film?

It was a decent movie. I enjoyed watching it, but it was long, slow, and bad for the first 1/3 of the movie. When kids came into the picture, the film started to feel real and got better. Definitely tugged at the heart a little bit, but great?!?!

    Re: Marley and Me

Anybody old enough to remember the ending to:
    + "Old Yeller"
+ The last 15 minutes of "Lassie Come Home".......now those were tearjerkers.

    Re: Marley and Me

I had extra water works from that movie. My first dog died from twisted stomoch, really sad movie towards the end. Although any movie with Jennifer Aniston is a good movie with me.

    Really funny movie though.

    Re: Marley and Me

Sorry I probably came off kind of strong last night. I really thought it was a good movie. It was funny and pulled at the heart at the end of the movie.

I think the problem for me is that I would never have kept that dog. I lost 2 dogs growing up and it was hard. But Marley was a horrible dog in so man ways. I couldn't get past the fact that they were stupid to keep him for so long

    Re: Marley and Me

I will tell you what, I saw the movie today and I pulled out every trick in the book to avoid crying. For those of you seeing the movie, and afraid of crying infront of people here is what I tried everytime the tears came a-callin':

    - Take a drink of your soda, or take down a huge handful of popcorn.
    - Think of something really really obsurd...or sing a song you haven't heard in a while in your head.
    - Position your head so it looks like your watching the movie, but actually be looking anywhere but the screen. This trick also will work for horror movies.
    - Pinch yourself or bite your tounge...takes your mind off what you are watching.
    - Think about the SDSU game and remember what true sadness is all about.

    Hope these help.

We have a dog that has done a lot of crazy stuff and no matter how mad you get I cannot imagine getting rid of him.
