    Random Observations

Has anyone else noticed that we have 2 of the top 5 rebounders in the big 12? Rahshon is number 2 and Wesley is number 5 as well as the number 2 offensive rebounder!

I talked to a guy on the fball team today and I asked him about Chizik. Apparently he said Chizik is nice, but LAYED down the law right away which is probably a good thing. It was good to hear that he is setting the tone right now and that there is no gray area with him. He also said the Alvin Bowen was thinking about the upcoming NFL draft. I don't know if there's any truth to that, but he said there has been conversation about it.

    Re: Random Observations

I would be really shocked if he tried the draft. He is way too small to play linebacker in the NFL and his pass coverage abilities would make him a very suspect D-back.

Of course, I've always maintained that agents are the lowest form of salesman scumbags on the planet. They'll blow all kinds of sunshine up the skirts of guys like Bowen convincing them that the'll be 1st rounders just in the outside chance that the'll get picked up. Then, when they don't, the "agent" disappears.

    Re: Random Observations

The next key in BB is to cut donw the turnovers. Looks like GMac slowed things down in the last ballgame to do just that and it worked out. If we can keep winning on the boards, and cut turnovers, we can compete with anyone in the BigXII this year. I'd rather watch an up tempo style, but if we don't have the skills to play up tempo slowing things down may be the route we have to go. Reminds me of Floyd's teams.

As for Ace, he better look at Stinson's decision very carefully and stay put, and get his degree. I know the NFL drafts 10 times more players than the NBA, but I don't equate being a great tackler with being a great linebacker. Tackling is a great skill, but how well did Ace do covering TEs over the middle or RBs in the flat, and how many sacks did he have? I think he'd be better served to gain another year's experience.

How is this front page news? I understand that this statement is being an a**.

I don't know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone.

Its front page because it doesn't fall within any specific category....technically, any new thread is front page when a new post is added...if this offends you, let me know. Otherwise, I'm guessing you're just curious

    Re: Random Observations

Alvin needs to stay another year because the awards he deserves will then come. He can go out at 240 instead of 230.
