    Ash is back

Just got a call that Chris Ash is on a plane back to Iowa right now.
He has great recruiting connections in Florida and is known nationally as a very good DB's coach.
    Welcome back Coach Ash!

    Re: Ash is back

I think Chris Ash would be a great addition to the staff. I wonder if his Dad is retired or where he's at? He was always an excellent coach at Drake.

    Re: Ash is back

NOT his dad at Drake. Lots of jokes made about that.
He is somewhere in Montana right now coaching I think.
Rob Ash I believe is an uncle.

Is the guess that he'll be DB coach here?

Wow, I thought Rob was his Dad. I also think (not sure) he went to Montana State from Drake.

So is this official news that he'll be the DB coach next year?

    Re: Ash is back

Fantastic news, if he will be the secondary coach next year. I felt Ash was one of D-Mac's best assistants in that final year.

    Welcome back, Coach Ash!

    Re: Ash is back

It would never happen, but what would your response be if McCarney came back as the D coordinator or even Skladany?

Sklandany put together some pretty good defenses.

Good hire, I really like this guy, should be a great addition to Rhoads' staff.

    Re: Ash is back

I would fully support Dan as DC and was saying that right after Bolt was demoted. The only downside would be the obvious weirdness.

Highly unlikely to happen for many reasons.

How do these two even know each other? Paul was gone by the time Ash came on staff?

I was actually always a pretty big supporter of Skladany. In my opinion he got kind of a bum rap when he was here.

Now that MBB is back, do we still have to pretend that WBB matters?
