    Question about PR

Does Paul have a speech impediment? He was stuttering and stammering a lot at the presser and in the interviews. Didn't know if it was nerves or what.

You did hear him say from the start that it was going to be a pretty emotional time for him correct? I would imagine that it was just him trying to regain his composure.

All I saw was a guy super passionate about being named head football coach at ISU.

yes, he stammers a little bit, but who cares, he is here to coach. Not to be a perfect public speaker

Yup. I could care less about how he talks as long as he gives a better product on the field than Jizlik did.

    Re: Question about PR

Coach Rhoads is a very emotional coach, so you couple that with him attaining his first head coaching job and him getting said job back home you get what you got yesterday.

Also he is gonna tell you how it is, straight shooter all the way with jokes mixed in. Thats why the players will like him, he'll tell them whats up but also joke with them.

He's getting paid to coach football, not write state of the union speeches so I wouldn't worry about his speaking ability.

    Re: Question about PR

If you are comparing his speaking abilities to Barack Obama's, he's not as good. haha. But he was definitely full of emotion, first head coaching job, talking in front of a crap load of people, on the go Q & A, excited to be back home, and everything else in between. I thought he did an awesome job. I've seen way worse people talk in public.

I think his speaking ablity will improve the more he does it. Last night was a big night for him and he was excited. I like that.

He had that accent even when he was a coach here. Probably picked it up in Missouri during college
