    ESPN2 Coverage for Sat. game

Wow...I even get to watch for a change.. ESPN2 coverage for the Bradley Game......hope we don't have 20+ turn overs.

It sucks not to have even ESPN Full court coverage for Wed's game..I hope Pollard does something soon for TV..........

Could be worse, we could have the TV problems the Hawkeyes do right now between Mediacom/Sinclair and every game being on ESPNU but virtually no one in the state gets it.

That's hillarious about Iowa. I hated Mediacom when I was in Ames...hopefully they take a big hit from this squabble. It'd be nice if they listened to their customers once in a while.

I don't have any special sports package in cedar rapids with media com, but I have had espnu for a few months now with no additional costs.

Re: ESPN2 Coverage for Sat. game

I am dropping Mediacom and getting the Dish this weekend. Anybody have any good ideas for internet options? That's the only reason I've kept mediacom as long as I have.

Dish offers satellite internet, supposedly broadband.

Yea, I had no idea until a friend from out of town was visiting and he was cruising through the channels and came across that. It's nice to have, but I sometimes forget that we have that station.

Stay clear of satellite internet, it just does not work very well. it is ok if you live outside of cable/dsl range, but that is the only reason to use it.

Get Qwest dsl, it is pretty fast and very reliable, and pretty cheap.

As much as I hate Mediacom, it really doesn't have any competition with internet. You may be able to get DSL but it won't be as fast. Although it's about 10-15 less per month.

Re: ESPN2 Coverage for Sat. game

yeah as the last poster said there really is no substitute to cable modem in iowa yet. On average the DSL and wireless offers(depending on where you live) are all about equal.
Imho you are better off just paying the $50 per month from mediacom w/o cable for the internet then paying $30 for DSL it is easily worth the extra $20 a month

no it is only for government buildings such as schools and stuff.

Correction it does appear after looking at their site you can buy isdn connections which are about twice the speed of a dial up connection or much larger pipelines that would be geared more towards business customers
