He still has a LONG way to go... I'd kinda hoped for a little more imrovement over a year and a half... But I'm glad to see he's working on it...

Yes there is still a long ways to go. More improvement though? For a kid to put on over 20lbs of pretty much nothing muscle in a year or so is EXCELLENT! For his bench and squat to improve that much also is great! Is there still room for improvement? Yes, but be happy for what he has accomplished. I hope that the basketball program will someday be like when Eustachey was here. That team with Fizer, Nurse, and others seemed like some of them were bodybuilders. Just give it time and everybody will be seeing improvements like D.G. as long as they work hard and eat right.

Alot of those guys worked out outside of team workouts too, on their own... I know more improvement can be made because I have seen it and done it personally as I was around the same place when I started school...

    Re: DG Strength and Conditioning

This is a great story. For him to gain 24 pounds of body weight, 80 lbs on bench and 105 on squat is amazing. To see that kind of improvement in one year is a thumbs up for himself and the strength & conditioning coaches. The numbers that he posted at the beginning of his career in the weight room at ISU were less than impressive, but he is making strides both in the weight room and on the court. Keep up the good work!

I can't believe that you being a former D1 athlete would say this. More improvement than doubling bench press and adding 100lbs to his squat? Man, you are way, way off base here.

    Great work DG!

Our whole team has a long ways to go with strength and conditioning. I don't remember what the weight was, but I was told that Haluska and Boozer led our team in reps.

DG has been one of the few bright spots for men's hoops. I think he'll be a really good one before he's done here.

    Re: DG Strength and Conditioning

Love MO. I worked with him at the Deans List for at least a year or so after he was done with football. Last night we moved down at the basketball game and happened to sit 3 rows behind him, his wife and their 3 girls. They were always great extremely nice.
