ISU toy helmets? (non competitive post)

J.C. Pennys, has toy helmets for the Hawkeyes, the Chicago Bears, and the Kansas City Chiefs. This is a store in Southern Iowa, does anyone know where I can find these for the Clones? These are helmets, that kids 5 years old or so can wear, not competitive or replicas.

Does anyone know if anywhere in Ames has such a thing?

Just asking, I assume our trademark people won't allow such a thing? but everyone else does?

I want to find these if they are available, if anyone knows where I can find one of these for my Grandson, I would appreciate it.

Sorry for begging, but this old Santa Claus is desperate to program his grandson to the Cyclone Spirit.

Yet we have a Hawkeye section in the Stawberry Patch in the AMES mall. I will never get that.

I don't think they make an ISU version. I have two boys and I bought the Chief's version and peeled the stickers and put Cyclone stickers on the side. They look good except Cy is headed the wrong direction on one side. Hope that helps. My kids loved it.

I never understood that when was an ISU student or when I lived in Ankeny, 'how could they justify that' I thought. But now that I live in enemy territory in the Cedar Rapids area, and travel to Coral Ridge Mall in Corallville and see an albeit small Cyclone section in Scheels, I can understand better. If they only had Iowa stuff, I would be pretty disappointed, so I can understand small sections of the rivals gear to appease local fans of the other school.

Apparently you have never been to NE Iowa, where I am from. I had to drive to other towns just to see ISU stuff. They are definately pro-Hawkeye up there.

Yeah, same thing in SE Iowa. Growing up I would have thought I was one of 5 Cyclone fans in the entire state. They don't even acknowledge the other state schools down there.

I seriously was in fourth grade in SE Iowa when I realized that there was another team that had a basketball/football team in the state besides Iowa. (It wasn't until jr. high that I learned of Drake and UNI also) I'm still seeing a therapist to get rid of the childhood memories of James Moses and Val Barnes.

Thats the truth. No games are tv, you can't even pick up an am radio station let alone find ISU gear (at least where i am from). Its all hawkeyes all the time.

Now I live 40 minutes west of ames and I still get crap for wearing iowa state stuff. Mostly from Iowa fans that have never been to an Iowa game and don't even watch the games on tv half the time. I don't know why people feel so threatened they have to yell 'go hawkeyes' every time they see a cyclone shirt.

That's why I don't shop there! T-Galaxy and Campus Book Store don't go that low.

Actually last time I was in CBS they had Iowa stuff up the stairs and to the left. I was going to ask for the manager and go nuts on them but just didn't have time to do it. How pathetic is that??
