Make sure you get your facts straight

Whoever posted Tiller is leaving is needs to get their facts straight before they post crap. And KXNO has never been right on anything so they are not a source.

It is ridiculous! These kids are having a hard enough time right now without some idiots posting things that are not true. For crying out louyd grow up...be patient.. and wait a week or two before spreading rumors that aren't true

Re: Make sure you get your facts straight

People need to realize that if players wanted things posted on a message board they would do it themselves. I guess having a face to face conversation with a player means something too.

It seems pretty stupid to try to speak these kids feelings (which I'm sure are changing by the hour).

Some people would rather have the popularity on a message board for reporting 'cool new info' I guess.

I think this may be more of a reflection on the last three years than what may actually happen this time. Whether or not Turner is available, if we get a coach that really cares for his players, we will be lightyears ahead. Football can be fun again instead of lining your helmets up for twenty minutes. We saw more progress in Gene One than we did in Gene Two. What happened?

Aren't players NOT allowed to be posting on message boards?

That could be true. But if a player really wanted to get on and maybe disguise themselves, they could and nobody would ever know.

Not to mention some moderators on this board, too.

Re: Make sure you get your facts straight

It's pathetic when the "race" to be the first on a message board to guess, er, "break" a story about an 18/19-year-old young man is more important to a guy than respect for the young man they are making up stories about.

Especially when that young man has committed 4-5 years of his life to the school that the guy is "supposedly" a fan of.

Trying to "keep up" up with M&M by making up stories isn't funny, it's disgusting.

I remember Discombubulated from two years ago....he certainly tried to disguise himself...he was busted after several identity switches...

Re: Make sure you get your facts straight

But nothing stops players from reading message boards.

I think the mods need to delete all threads that directly involve any players by name, such as "I heard from my neighbor's wife's doctor's cat that player #XYZ is going to transfer to Alcorn State". Most of us are wise enough to take internet rumors for what they're worth and internet rumors about things like Jamie Pollard's plane landing in Kotzebue, Alaska are always entertaining, but internet rumors about an 18 year old kid can be harmful.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

Especially when they stick to their story DESPITE said player's father saying it's all untrue. That's just idiotic...

Are we going after the coach at the College of Rural and Community Development?

Or they listen to M$M...they will hear during turbulent times...time to get a coach, JP...make it snappy...most of the names mentioned would be an upgrade to the Formerly Known as HC. Ethics, trust, solid wins and loyalty will be an upgrade.

So I have to wait at least 2 weeks to spread an untrue rumor.

Serously, I agree it is very tough times for these players. Unless you have been there as a player you can't even imagine the stress, doubt and pressure.
