    Jay Norvell??

Marty is back on this bandwagon. He does have ISU ties and knows the Big 12. Maybe a sleeper in this?

The gap in our economy is between what we have and what we think we ought to have--and that is a moral problem, not an economic one. - Paul Heyne

I really hope not, he may be a good coach but he was the most egotistical a-hole I ever met. That was many years ago and maybe he is a little more humble now.

I like Jay Norvell. I think he would do great in Ames.

At least if he failed we could blame the Hawks!

Co-offensive coordinator for the best offense ever in college football. Coached Marvin Harrison with the Colts. He would do okay

    Re: Jay Norvell??

He's better than Farley or that DeForest guy from Okie State. I'm leary about coordinators, but Norvell has been running a solid offense in Norman (understatement).

    Re: Jay Norvell??

One thing to keep in mind about Norvell is that he rated below Kelly and Chizik last time around in JP's eyes and he has been a candidate for many jobs but never gotten the offer. Also, he's not completely in charge of the offense at OU so he can't get all the credit.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

I'm not sure why Pollard would suddenly want him when he didn't want him two years ago.

I have a hard time with a coordinator that is successful with top 5 recruiting classes year end and year out coming to be our next head coach. I just really hope we can get a proven coach. I mean if you were a supervisor or manager and you were given the very best employees year in and year out do you think you could succeed?

Exactly. I don't want this guy. 1. Ex-hawk/Hayden Fry/Dan McCarney - sorry, not interested. 2. Coordinator - been there, done that.

If JP hires another coordinator he should be fired on the spot.

    Re: Jay Norvell??

Id really really really! be angry if we got another coordinator at this point. The team needs a leader with some experience, not to be chiziked by another coach with no HC experience.
