    ISU Coaching History - 1957

Just curious, does anybody know the circumstances in '57? Wasn't this right around the 'Dirty Thirty' era?

"Chizik, whose two-year tenure was the shortest for a non-interim Iowa State football coach since Jim Myers' one-year stint in 1957, offered an optimistic outlook".

"We are first and foremost an educational institution that values integrity, honesty and treating others with fairness and respect".

-ISU President Gregory Geoffroy; circa May 2003.

Myer went to Texas A&M in '58. Was there for 4 years.

Thanks! Wow - another southern school hires a coach from Iowa State with less than two years experience?#? Imagine that.
