Re: Congress to End the BCS?

One or two of these get introduced a year, generally by congressmen from states that get jilted. Last year a representative from hawaii did the same thing.

    It won't go anywhere.

I really wish politicians wouldn't waste their time on meaningless crap like this when there are so many serious problems facing our country.

Pretty sure the BCS is the biggest problem facing us. What do you think it is, the economy?

exactly. congress getting involved in sports is ridiculous. Unless laws have been broken or there's fishy finances going on or something - lay off. Let's stick with the free enterprise and let the governing bodies of those sports do their job. even if they do it poorly.

Re: Congress to End the BCS?

I love the idea of a playoff and a reform of the system but I hate the idea of government interfering in stuff they shouldn't be involved in. Next thing you know they're gonna start buying stock in the insurance companies and the banks, and passing out all kinds of money to private manufacturers of automobiles.

By the way. Anyone find it terrifying that we are going to have a car "CZAR"?

    Here is the definition:

It is obivious the country is heading towards all out socialism, which is what the sheeple want, but a dictatorship? We are actually using the terms now to define government positions.

yeah, but it's a totally unofficial title. John Walters is technically "Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy" but I'm guessing that they were looking to save money on business cards.
