Re: Craig Brackins shares Big 12 Player of the Week

Yes, he did earn it! He needs to rebound the rest of the year the way he has the last two games. That is the Brackins that I like to see

I like how he is listed as the rookie of the week also.

That's pretty good. Can't they even figure out that he isn't a rookie anymore

Re: Craig Brackins shares Big 12 Player of the Week

I went to the game Saturday and admit that I know little about basketball. Why does Brackins always do a double shake on the ball after he rebounds? Also did anyone notice his fake attempt to put the ball in OSU's basket after he rebounded on their end late in the game? Does a coach get on guys for doing stuff like that?

Re: Craig Brackins shares Big 12 Player of the Week

This is a good accomplishment, but is even better because it doesn't seem to me that Brakcins played as well as he could have. He missed alot of bunnies in the OSU game, and if he could develop a mean streak and a little more physicality...good god look out.

Well deserved - hope he has a few more games like that.

IMO, that game was a far better display than that game last season against Baylor.

It's probably just a habit that he has. Nothing to worry about or anything. A lot of people i know do it. Don't know why they do it, but they do it.

definitely true. That Baylor game last year was just him having one hot shooting night outside. I like it much better when he scores that much but all his shots are inside

Dude didn't just score. He dominated the game on the offensive end and carried the team.

If he can do 3/4 or even half of what he did that night - against our Big 12 foes - I really like our chances to surprise some folks. But as we saw with Oregon State, they did some things to keep him away from the hoop early and confuse him. Hopefully he learned some things from it (seemed like he did during the game) and watched plenty of that film.

If he can pass out of the double teams like he did in the second half then I think we will be alright. It's when he forces things like the first half against OSU that worries me

Yup, I think his biggest enemy (aside from defense) is his frustration gets the best of him.

Great point, you can see it in his face if he loses the handle on the ball or misses an easy shot and doesn't get the rebound. He does get frustrated. He needs to turn that frustration into aggression.
