    AA named team MVP

Not much of an accomplishment for a 2 win team...but he did set a school record for completions.

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State quarterback Austen Arnaud, who set an ISU school record for completions in a season (247) and compiled 3,193 yards of total offense to rank second all-time in Cyclone history for a single season, earned the Pete Taylor MVP Award as Iowa State’s Most Valuable Player. The award was given at the 2008 ISU Football Banquet Sunday at the Gateway Hotel.

Yes, but who were the Scout Team MVP's? That's all that's really important, until next Summer drills start!

Bo's fine. As for Lonzie, I think it's also more about that attitude and stuff he brings to the team. He's a really good guy.

he is just saying that there is no need to keep beating the dead horse. We know we were awful this year, but Arnaud was a bright spot for us.

    Re: AA named team MVP

Maggit has great potential as a pass rusher... i figure he will see a lot of PT next year. As for lonzie i think he would have been a highly recruited player if he didnt suffer that injury before his senior year. He will be a good one

Being an MVP on a 2-10 isn't much to sing about. However, as noted - setting the school record on completions is pretty cool.

    Such a sensitive bunch...

    Re: AA named team MVP

All this talk about being the MVP on a 2-10 team not being an accomplishment that is worth much is bull! AA had a damn good season. he did so many good things for a young kid with not a ton of talent around him.

he was clearly ISUs stand out player...hands down. Anyone who says a guy like Brantner was the MVP needs to be choked with a rubber chicken.

Austen's a great guy. IF everything falls right he'll be a pro.

    Brandtner has a shot too.
