I will be making a large wager on this game if the spread is even close... and i'm not talking a cybookie wager.

    Same here.

My only concern is that Texas may come out dull because they feel they got hosed, like when they played Iowa in the Alamo Bowl a couple years back and damn near lost to an inferior team.

    Re: Hook 'em Horns

I think they will come out more ticked off than dull. Or at least that's what I'm hoping. Besides OSU always tanks in big games.... see USC.

I think its BS that OSU got a BCS game over Boise State.

I guess we will see if a great defensive team from the Big 10 can slow an arena ball O from the Big 12.

    Re: Hook 'em Horns

A 2 loss team from one of the worst conferences got 2 teams in while Boise State is on the outside? Yeah, that makes sense. Just when you think you can't hate the Big10 any more.

    Re: Hook 'em Horns

Like I said in the other thread. With OSU catching all these breaks, I will almost root for Iowa vs. OSU in their next game. This is horrible.

    Re: Hook 'em Horns

    Early spreads are

    USC -10
    Bama -11
    Texas -8
OU -1.5 (LV Hilton has the OU spread at -3)
VT - Cinci - pick em

I think the Rose Bowl will be a bigger blowout than the Fiesta Bowl, although neither one will be close.

I'd rather see USC vs. Texas, that would be a good game.

Gene Smith, 1993-2000. 7 years, 6 NCAA's, 1 bowl game. Revenue sports postseason participation 50%. Good.
    Bruce Vandevelde, 2000-20005. 5 years, 4 bowl games, 2 NCAA's, 2 NIT's. Postseason participation 80%. Better.
    Jamie Pollard, 2005-. 4 years. 1 bowl game, 0 NCAA's, 0 NIT's. Postseason participation: 13%. The next big step.

My ignore list: splitidentity, tarheelhawk, superdorf, clones_jer. That is all.

It would be a good game, but I would love to see 2 Big 10 blowout losses to continually expose this sham.
