    Snowstorm Monday night/Tuesday

Looking like this thing could be a monster for portions, if not all of the state. NAM model shows a nice swath thru the center of the state, whereas the GFS hammers the entire state with copious amounts of snow. If things hold this is how it'd look

I don't know why everyone gets so down on snow. I don't like the cold but I think the snow is great. It adds excitement to the daily commute.

Exactly how much in WDM? I need to decide if I want to go out in the cold tomorrow and try to fire up the snowblower that has been broken for a year now.

A program isn't built on one player and it doesn't succeed because of one player, thus a program won't fail if it doesn't get that one player.

According to that chart 10 inches, if I read it right.

While that right there shows 8-10 for Des Moines, taking in to consideration other models I would say 6 ish inches of snow is more likely however.

I find that if you just have fun with it the driving is fine. I think the worse thing you can do is get all nervous. I just think of it as time where I can practice my drifting skills without getting busted.

The only thing I ever worry about is not being able to see and I usually drive pretty slow and keep my distance from other cars.

    Re: Snowstorm Monday night/Tuesday

Okay, I'll admit it, I'm a bit of a hyper, to keep you all from freaking out too much, heres another model that, while still showing a good chunk of snow, is less aggressive. The GFS is the most aggressive. Overall my forecast for Iowa is a wide swath of around 6 inches snows, with a narrow band, probably in the eastern portion of the state of close 10 inches+.

Actually there may be a bit of snow Sunday evening associated with a clipper, only 1 inch or so, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get off to your destination.
