    Re: blake griffin is..

I think Griffin will have a similar NBA fate as Marcus. Too small to play the 4, too big and slow to play the 3. He's definitely quicker than Fizer but not quick enough. I enjoy watching him at OU, glad he stayed another year.

I think Griffin can play a long time in the league. That extra quickness is huge at the next level, plus he has some pretty decent range. He has a pretty good all-around game.

    Re: blake griffin is..

Blake is taller and longer than Fizer. Quicker too. Just a better overall "athlete." - I think that alone makes him the better pro prospect.

    Fizer had more range, however.

Strength is probably pretty close - I'll give the edge to Fizer :)

Why do you think Griffin is too small to play the 4. Hes got a couple inches on Fizer and he is listed at 6'10". Thats not to small to play the 4 in the NBA plus the quickness he has I could see him being very successful in the NBA.

    Re: blake griffin is..

Marcus could still be in the NBA, but as a fringe player with attitude and law issues he isn't worth the time or money...

I think Blake is like Beasley.

Blake jumps quicker and generally is more fluid. Marcus was just too bottom heavy to survive in the NBA. Marcus does have a lot more ink though.

I am going to go out on a limb and say he could be one of the worse #1 picks of all time. I just don't see how he fits in the NBA game.

Good comparison. Both know how to use their elbows and rear-end to get the ball within two feet of the basket.

Perfect example. Barkley was like 6'6 maybe, and he had a pretty damn good NBA career

    Re: blake griffin is..

Blake seems to me to be a lot like Carlos Boozer.

Of course, Boozer was a second round pick, I think because people thought he was too small to play the 4.

The other thing is that it seems like the 4 spot in the NBA has gotten smaller and quicker recently, which will play to Blake's advantage.

I think he'll be an All-Star NBA player, I really don't have any doubt about that.
