Any investment advise in this market?

I was wondering if anyone had any investment advise in this economy? I've got some cash saved up and am looking for opinions.

I've thought about trying to corner the Orange Juice market.

    gold, silver, platinum

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.

Re: Any investment advise in this market?

based on previous presidencies, I would invest in what the new commander in chief will be pushing. This means: infrastructure, and "green" tech.

Some companies I have been following to have big years eventually are:

    Wind power companies.
hybrid/electric vehicles- I own stock in quantum technologies (QTWW) which owns stack in a bunch of solar tech and fiskar automotive(electric/hybrids) Check out the new fiskar karma, pretty sweet little sports car.

Re: Any investment advise in this market?

I would take a look at companies that will be involved with rebuilding and expanding the infrastructure of the United States. Roads, bridges, oil and nat gas pipelines, refineries, power grids, etc are all areas that need to be improved upon. It also sounds like the new administration intends to provide federal funds to states in order to improve infrastructure as part of a second economic stimulus package. Whether or not that will come to fruition remains to be seen...

If you have new money to put into the market, I would recommend income averaging it in. Add 1/12 in each of the next 12 months or something along that vein.

    Good idea.

It's a lot safer putting money in now than it has been over the last 6 years, but most people probably won't buy into that statement.

Cool Re: Any investment advise in this market?

If you don't need this money for 5+ yrs find yourself a good mutual fund company like Vanguard or Fidelity and spread your money among a few solid stock mutual funds. All mutual fund returns are going to look ugly this year but look at the 10 yr performance average or life of the fund average, low fees management fees (below 1%, which is about all funds at Vanguard and Fidelity).

Invest for the long term and then shut off your tv and don't listen to the "sky is falling" hub bub...........................now is a GREAT time to buy.........
