Let me know what you think of this. I realize this could never happen. But I think this would produce a pretty good playoff system. My idea was to reorganize every conference geographically. The result was it seemed to distribute the good teams more evenly, there are a few strong divisions and a couple weaker. I think it makes more sense economically and makes it easier for fans to travel to away games. For example ISU would play minnesota rather than texas.
12 teams in each conference (one conference would have 11)
2 divisions in each conference
Conference Champ would be determined by Championship game
10 Conference champs + 2 at large bids
Top 4 ranked teams would receive a 1st round bye
The conferences are attached, I basically just chose who I thought would win each conference
We would be in the Midwest conference
