    Re: Tuberville fired

Bet GC wishes he had a couple more years in here and had already turned the program around! He would have certainly been a candidate for that job if we were further down the path to success!

    Link anyone?

I know Tommy struggled this year, but this would surprise me.

    Re: Tuberville fired

I like Tubs. He did great at Auburn IMO. That's no easy job with the shadows of Bear and Alabama across the state.

    Re: Tuberville fired

I don't think we want him though, sounds like Chizik could be our DC, and theres no way I would want Tuberville to be our OC, their offense was horrible!

    Re: Tuberville fired

Yeah, I was joking about that, but it makes Rhoads a more real possibility.

    Re: Tuberville fired

Rhoads has done well for himself since he left for the D-Coordinator position at Pitt. I would love having him back here at Iowa State.

Guy has ONE bad season and gets fired? Who would want to take that job?

    Re: Tuberville fired

I would love to have Rhodes back as a DC, but it would be a surprise to me if he came back to ISU as less than Head Coach.

I'll dig for some info tonight. I will likely see his brother in law

    Re: Tuberville fired

Tuberville has a history as a DC and Auburn owe's him $6M. He's worked with Gene before, needs a job, and we could get him relatively cheap after Auburn's nice check.

It would be an interesting dynamic however having Gene as HC, Tuberville as DC and the old DC still on staff.

    Re: Tuberville fired

I don't think many head coaches that get fired would want to be demoted to a coordinator position. Most of them would want to get another HC job.
