UH OH, not good. So does that mean they can come back for the playoffs (assuming the Vikings still make it)?

I wouldn't worry about the Vikings making the playoffs. Before I thought they would lose to the Lions, now I know they will.

I would say they go 2-2 if not 3-1 in the last 4 games, but the Lions will not be a loss. I say the Giants are a for sure loss, the toss up is either losing to Arizona or Atlanta or neither, but not both. My 2 cents

The Vikings will give up a few more rush yards but I still think they will be able to make the playoffs this year

...And why would they lost to the Lions?? They run defense is horrible and we have the best RB in the NFL. Gotta stop him first.

What doesn't make sense is that the Pat and Kevin tested positive during the preseason. Why on earth does it take this long to enforce the suspensions?

An injunction will likely be filed to allow the players to play for the rest of year. I hope Goddell has his house in order. There was a report the other night that the NFL knew that this over-the-counter diuretic contained a naughty substance, but didn't add it to their list of "banned" substances. Thus, the players were not notified that the diuretic contained a banned substance when they called the NFL banned substance "hotline". If this is accurate, the NFL should be sued into oblivion.

I heard the same thing, I think it was on the Sunday night game

The ONLY reason an NFL player would take a diuretic would be to cover up drug use. The last thing they need, especially during training camp, would be to lose water from their body... But, I guess they have forgotten all about Korey Stringer...

It doesn't necessarily indicate drug use.

Diuretics can be used in weight loss.. something that an NFL defensive tackle might be looking to do in the pre-season.

It's not safe, and I'm not defending these guys. Just saying that there are plausible explanations other than masking steroids.

IF anyone associated with any player found out that this diuretic could be used as a masking agent it would get around pretty quick... I am not saying this as a Bears fan, at all, I'm saying it as someone who has had to take these drug tests and seen first hand people going to extreme lengths to mask Preformance enhancing drug use...
