    Re: All-Big 12 Football Awards

Jon Cooper was Offensive Lineman of the Year, yet he was 2nd team all Big 12!!!

How does that make any sense?

Shows how bad the Big 12 North was too. Just 2 players won individual awards, 2 on the 1st team O, 3 on D, 2nd team 4 on O, and 5 on D. 7 of the 16 from the North were all from Mizzou.

Javorskie Lane made 2nd Team... just because there is NO OTHER FB in the Big XII basically... what a joke. He had something like 96 yds & 5 TDs on the season.

    Re: All-Big 12 Football Awards

This is disturbing. So ISU had 7 players that were considered 3rd best in the conference at their positions. One was a punter - one was OFFENSE - and the other five were DEFENSE.

Given how the units played this year, how can this possibly be? Was the defense closer to Big 12 caliber than the offense was?

Honerable Mention doesn't mean third team..... basically a listing of statistical team leaders for players who weren't all conference...

Reesing didn't even get an honorable mention. I don't think a reasonable person could even make an argument for anyone else on KU as their most valuable player.

I know I said this earlier, but I would take Reesing over just about any QB in the Big 12 minus Bradford/McCoy. The guy is a winner.

    Re: All-Big 12 Football Awards

ISU's the only school without a first or second team all-conference player...oh well.

I didn't say team MVP's, I said individual statistical leaders. Is there any other reason ISU's defense has so many players listed? Our defense saw a lot of action boosting individual player stats, tackles, int's, etc... Our team defense was terrible, yards given up, scores...

Then maybe you can tell me why there are three linebackers on first and second team but like nine listed on honerable mention. That is a lot of third best linebackers in the league!

A couple years ago the Nebraska FB who didn't carry the ball at all during the season was named all conference.

Fullbacks aren't necessarily required to carry the ball.
