    Missouri's offensive Coordinator leaves

    STL Today

    By Vahe Gregorian
    ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH

Even as Mizzou prepares for what perhaps will be the defining moment of its season in the Big 12 title game Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium, it also is moving into a transitional phase.

Soon to become the first assistant to leave Gary Pinkel's staff in eight seasons at Missouri, offensive coordinator Dave Christensen has taken the head coaching job at Wyoming, sources with both programs said Sunday. And according to the Toledo Blade, MU defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus was to be interviewed Sunday for the head coaching job at the University of Toledo, his alma mater and former employer under Pinkel.
Finally some good news for Iowa State.

How is that good news for us?

They may have open OC and DC jobs at the same time we do, so we'll have to compete with them for candidates.

Unfortunately, that doesn't help our cause any. I'd like to see as few coordinator vacancies as possible so we can get the best possible candidates. I'm hoping we already have a couple of candidates secured. We can't afford to drag this out very long at all or it will really hurt our recruiting during this very crucial month of December.

Yeah, well unlike Mizzou we can offer the exciting opportunity to be a part of a rebuilding process!

Exactly. So many short-sighted thoughts 'round these parts.

I believe we already have people lined up for our positions- it's just that simply.
