I had forgotten how quick he was and how well he could jump. I would doubt he comes to the Energy, those guys make a good living playing overseas.

I've spoke with him about this before this season. He's under contract right now in Spain, but he is interested in the NBDL and a shot at the NBA.

Does he have anymore eligibility left so he could come back and play defense for the football team?

    Re: Stevie Johnson Stat Watch

    He's really improved his dribbling.

When he was here, he'd pull that move, but dribble the ball off his foot just before getting to the rim.

    Re: Stevie Johnson Stat Watch

I'm going to do my best to get some video of him this season. It is a shame the local news stations don't cover it. It's a shocker the level he dominates in one of the top 5 or 6 leagues in the world.

Stevie would have killed it under Wayne Morgan. He could really run and jump. Maybe run a little to fast for basketball.

Johnson's game is best suited for the fast tempo of USA pro leagues. At Iowa State, Johnson was an undersized power forward that didn't belong in the NBA.

Now, I'm not so sure. He's developed so many facets of his game including outside shooting. He averaged around 21 points per game on around 62% shooting from the field and 40% from beyond the arc last year.

I see guys like Dahntay Jones starting for the Denver Nuggets, and that makes me wonder...

At 30 years old he looks like a legit prospect at SF. Unfortunately scouts don't pay any attention to anyone over 22.

    Re: Stevie Johnson Stat Watch

Stevie was my favorite player while he was at ISU. He was pure hustle. My friends and I always went ape when he would get the ball. Bawbie, I totally remember him doing the same move in the video but dribbling off his foot many a time. It's great to see he is doing so well.
