    Fashion Faux-pas or Cool Look?

This has been keeping me up at night...

Do you think it looks good to wear a T-shirt under a basketball uni or just plain weird?

I noticed Iowa's Mike Henderson did this against UNI and it conjured up memories of Ewing and ISU's Gary Thompkins.

For the record, I think it looks weird. Maybe an old-school trend coming back?

I think it's more of keeping warm.
When I played high scool ball, it was always cold in the gym.

I think it looks stupid. If your playing and out running around, how do you get cold?

Now for the guys on the bench that never take the warm ups off, they can wear it to stay warm.

Whenever I see it, I'm always reminded of that putz Jeff Boshee that used to play for Kansas. I hated that guy.

    so no, bad idea.

We always make fun of the people with T-shirts on.

The cut-off is fine but no full-on t-shirts. Especially if they are colored.

I was thinkin "what's so bad about it?", only thinking of Patrick Ewing racking up rushing yards, until you brought up Boschee. I instantly hated it.

Yes, I think it looks really wierd, but back in the day I used to wear one sometimes because it helped keep the sweat from flyin everywhere. Plus, when my hands got sweaty, I had somethin to dry them off with (although I guess that's what armbands are for too).

I can't confirm for the NCAA, but I beleive its that same as HS.

The undershirt must be of similar color to the dominant jersey shade, if the sleeves are cutoff, they must be hemmed - no ragged edges.

Not that its enforced to its fullest extent most places.

Ah that makes more sense then. Can we at least get the T-shirt color and jersey color shades to closely match???

    He's a T-shirt wearer! He's a T-shirt wearer! Look everyone...a T-shirt wearer!!!

That's what happens when you mess with the non-tshirt wearer!

Re: Fashion Faux-pas or Cool Look?

Definitely not a cool look however, if one was a sweaty person, I can see how a T shirt could help contain some of the flow.

I used to play against a guy who was a "sweater" and I hate when we went shirts and skins and he was skin. If you even touched him, you needed a towel to dry yourself off. Gross.
